UKC CH Sunswept's Every Little Bit - (09/01/94 - 08/10/09)
Kimba was obtained from a Breeder with too much personal tragedy in her life to deal with the responsibility of raising a litter. Kimba's sire had already been killed when he was let out into the street, and hit by a car. We could not allow her to face a similar fate.
Even at 10 weeks old, Kimba had a look unlike anything we had seen around this region. She was all muscle (and still is!), and had beautiful eyes! If she has a downside, it would be how hard she is to show. Kimba is a serious Samoyed, not the happy-go-lucky types we see so often. She watches everything, and takes charge. In the ring, Judges will either love her or hate her. And she in turn takes the same attitude with them, often turning her head away if she does not like them.....
In her first two years of life and with limited showing, Kimba earned 9 points, with placements including a Best of Opposite over Specials, several Best of Winners, and even Best of Breed. She took three broken majors, and several reserves to 4 point classes. Kimba was placing in almost every show.
Unfortunately, her human dad sustained a seious blow to his health from a car accident, and was no longer able to continue with the competition. A few years passed and things improved, but at age 5, Kimba was no longer interested in the show ring. We elected to retire her, and let her rule the house. Kimba whelped a litter of puppies on November 25, 2001. While 2 of the puppies were lost on Day 2, the remaining boy grew up to be a happy, healthy, BIG dog.
