| Connor was a "Bucket Baby", taken away from his mother when he was a newborn so she could provide milk for a race horse foal instead. Tossed into a field, he had to either learn to drink milk from a bucket, or starve. Fortunately, he was seen by a stable owner with a keen eye and kind heart, and brought back to her farm for care. I saw him the day she brought him home, and it was love at first site... he won me over when someone made a sudden loud noise and he dived in behind me for protection. How could I refuse? In this photo, he's a few days old, meeting his surrogate mom and sister. Connor is the dark brown foal. |

| It was rough for a little while, but Connor is really beginning to grow and get stronger. Here at 5 months of age, he's still frolicking with his surrogate sister. UPDATE: Now six months old, I decided to make it official. Connor is now my own. |
